Update, May 3, 5 a.m.
Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives worked through the evening and early morning hours. Several strong leads in the case were developed as a result. Investigation into the death of Levi Buck is on-going.
Update: 8 p.m. May 2
Lusby, MD — Emergency units responded to 8296 Sycamore Drive in White Sands, Lusby at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday May 2 for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival Calvert County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies located a deceased subject inside of the residence. The scene was immediately secured and sheriff’s office detectives were requested to respond to the scene to assume the investigation. The deceased person was identified as 48 year old Levi Buck of this same address.
Detectives are actively working the crime scene. Further information will be released as the investigation continues.
UPDATE: 6 p.m., May 2
Lusby, MD – As of 6 p.m. May 2, police were still at the scene of an apparent shooting death in the White Sands subdivision of Lusby.
Investigators and patrol officers from both the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police were at a home located near the White Sands Civic Association Building on Sycamore Road.
A large crowd had gathered at the scene as the investigation was in progress.
No details, other than confirmation of one male dead and the description of a suspects’ vehicle–a red convertible Mustang–have been divulged at this time.
Lusby, MD — Calvert County police and emergency responders were dispatched Saturday, May 2 to 8296 Sycamore Road in White Sands for an unconscious person.
Upon their arrival two suspects in a red, convertible Mustang reportedly fled the scene.
According to reports, the incident is a shooting and the victim was reported to be deceased.
The dispatch occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m.
