On May 1, deputies responded to in St. Mary’s Square area of Lexington Park, for a report of a robbery. The victim reported he was robbed by “Brandon”. Other witness on the scene identified “Brandon” as Brandon Wayne Danchak, 24 of no fixed address.
The victim stated he was walking down the road when approached by Danchak. Danchak told the victim to give him a cigarette. The victim refused and kept walking. Danchak approached the victim again, displayed a box cutter and threatened to cut the victim if he did not give him a cigarette. The victim attempted to runaway but was tackled by Danchak. A struggle ensued and Danchak stole the victim’s cigarettes, a gold chain and an earring.
Danchak had fled the scene but was located a short time later, arrested and charged with robbery and first-degree assault.
