Circle of Care & Friends Walk to End Alzheimer’s Team will be holding a Parking Lot Party Fundraiser for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Saturday, Sept. 6. This fun, family-friendly fundraiser will be held at Anthony’s Bar and Grill located at 10371 Southern Maryland Blvd., Dunkirk.
The event starts at 11 a.m. and runs all day and evening until closing.
The Parking Lot Party will feature fun for all ages:Â corn-hole tournament, DJ, a 50/50 raffle, Silent Auction items donated by Calvert County businesses, craft vendors, popcorn-cotton candy-snowcones, face painting and the new Calvert County D.A.R.E. Truck. Also featured will be a dunk tank where local politicians and community figures will take a turn in the Dunk Tank for the Cause.
Starting at 8 p.m., the live music of The Gillian Thompson Project will entertain guests.
Circle of Care owner, Lee Ann Stedman says, “Bring the whole family for a day of fun for all ages. Proceeds will be donated to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”
Circle of Care, a Calvert County-based home care agency, is an active supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Circle of Care has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association for the last seven years through raising awareness, sponsoring events and funds for this nationwide non-profit organization.
“We have been blessed to serve many families in the Southern Maryland area who suffer from this disease,” Stedman said. “It’s our goal to honor them as we seek to raise funds and increase awareness of this disease.”
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This event is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide.
This year’s walk in Southern Maryland will be held in Solomons Island Saturday, Sept. 20.
