CALIFORNIA, Md. — Foundation 4 Heroes (F4Heroes) is sponsoring a trip veterans to a Washington Nationals baseball game for veterans.

William Moffett, a 100-year-old WWII veteran, and two busloads of Korean and Vietnam veterans will attend a Washington Nationals baseball game.

“They’re our nation’s greatest heroes. They will be recognized at the game for their service and sacrifice to our country on Thursday, September 29th before the 1:05 p.m. start,” said Dr. Jay Lipoff, Foundation 4 Heroes founder and president.

Mr. Moffett met the Foundation 4 Heroes volunteers at the Mechanicsville Veteran’s Home where they attended a superhero-themed prom night, said Lipoff.

“F4Heroes wanted to thank him and others in attendance in a special way for their dedication and Moffet’s passion for baseball gave them an idea. The F4Heroes organization will also be purchasing jerseys for the veterans to complete their day at the Park,” said Lipoff.

About Foundation 4 Heroes: F4Heroes is a non-profit organization that inspires children in hospitals, teaches school children to be a hero and supports and thanks veterans and Wounded Warriors for their courage, service and sacrifice.
