An early season SMAC battle between the Leonardtown Raiders Boys Basketball team and Westlake started off as a tight battle but, the Wolverines pulled away in the third quarter and won 64-48. Leonardtown led at the end of the first quarter 15-12 and at the half, 29-28.
They started off the second half in control defensively as Westlake was not able to hit a shot from the field beginning 0 for 15. After that drought Westlake went on a 19-5 run to end the quarter and dominated through the end of the game. The Raiders were led by Senior guard Nick Shade’s 11 points and 10 from Senior Chris Campeggio. Jade Washington had 16 for Westlake and Junior Forward Cantrell Wise led all scorers with 20 points.
