At 6:21 p.m. on Dec. 16, a 2002 Saturn SL being operated by Linda Elaine Coppage, 56 years, of Waldorf, and a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier being operated by Michael Troy Langley Jr., 19 years, of Leonardtown, were stopped on southbound MD Rt. 205, north of MD Rt. 5, in the left turn lane.
A 1998 Nissan Frontier being operated by Marie Blanche Thompson, 56 years, of Waldorf, was traveling northbound on MD Rt. 205, north of MD Rt. 5 in lane #1. A 1996 Toyota Camry being operated by Edward Rito Nemiha Davis, 45 years, of Waldorf, was yielding onto northbound MD Rt. 205 from northbound MD Rt. 5.
Mr. Davis failed to yield the right of way and struck Ms. Thompson’s vehicle on the right side. Ms. Thompson’s vehicle was forced to cross over the cement median strip and struck Ms. Coppage and Mr. Langley’s vehicle. Ms. Thompson and Mr. Langley received injuries and were transported to Civista Medical Center by ambulance. Mr. Davis and Ms. Coppage were not injured.
Mr. Davis was cited with failure to yield the right of way. TFC J. Scott conducted this investigation.
