Nomination for Lindsey, Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics ► “Lindsey is an exemplary nurse who always goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable while ensuring they are knowledgeable, active participants in their care. While there are many examples, she recently took the time to learn about the social stressors in a patient’s life, including the anxiety this patient was having regarding a new diagnosis and hospitalization. When the patient was nervous regarding her stay and effects of medication, Lindsey never left her side. She seeks opportunities to help her fellow nurses and all MSP patients during each and every shift.”
Nomination for Britteny, Behavioral Health ► “In March, Britteny took control of a potentially dangerous situation after a patient broke a fire extinguisher cabinet and emptied it into patient rooms and common areas. Britteny initiated a code for help while moving patients safely off the unit. Her control and professionalism helped our patients feel safe in an unexpected circumstance. She exhibits Patient First constantly, as she is always helping patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing. Britteny’s compassion shines through in all she does.”
