What better place to take a ghost walk that a place noted for being a hotbed of paranormal activity. Summerseat Farm on Route 235 in the Oakville area of Mechanicsville is just such place. Since being open to the public in 2001 the historic farm has been the subject of numerous paranormal investigations, including TAPS/Ghost Hunters in 2011.
The Gates of Summerseat is a three-day ghost walk being held this year on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24-26. Tours leave regularly beginning at 7 p.m. through 9:30 on Thursday and through 10:30 on Friday and Saturday.
A group of lucky persons will be able to participate in the sold-out “Paranormal Experience” which features a viewing of the Summerseat Ghost Hunters episode and then a tour with a “live” investigator, Gina Kleinkauf.
No paranormal activity is guaranteed during the ghost tours but last year energy entities were detected and visual images were recorded. Cameras and audio/visual equipment will be allowed.
