Donald E. Walker

Charlotte Hall, MD – On Nov. 8,ย Deputy J. Kerns responded to the 30000 block of Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall for the report of a disturbance.

The victim alleged the suspect, Donald E. Walker, 27, of no fixed address, attempted to assault the victim after a confrontation over damage to the victimโ€™s truck, believed to be caused by Walker.

According to court documents, โ€œthe victim advised that he had issues the day prior with defendant [Walker] acting like he was throwing rocks at his [victim] truck.โ€

The victim stated he was calling the police. The defendant then said, โ€œyeah I did it, so what, Iโ€™ll be out in the morning,โ€ according to court documents.

โ€œThe defendant was swinging a large wooden stick towards him which he [ the victim] felt was an attempt by the defendant to strike him, therefore, he retreated to his vehicle and grabbed a long chain to defend himself, and the defendant took off running,โ€ according to court documents.

Walker was arrested and transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center.

He was charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property over $1,000.

Walker has a trial date set for Jan.7, 2016 at the St. Maryโ€™s County District Court. Walker faces a maximum jail sentence of 13 years in jail and/or a fine of $5,000.
