Donald E. Walker
Charlotte Hall, MD – On Nov. 8, Deputy J. Kerns responded to the 30000 block of Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall for the report of a disturbance.
The victim alleged the suspect, Donald E. Walker, 27, of no fixed address, attempted to assault the victim after a confrontation over damage to the victim’s truck, believed to be caused by Walker.
According to court documents, “the victim advised that he had issues the day prior with defendant [Walker] acting like he was throwing rocks at his [victim] truck.”
The victim stated he was calling the police. The defendant then said, “yeah I did it, so what, I’ll be out in the morning,” according to court documents.
“The defendant was swinging a large wooden stick towards him which he [ the victim] felt was an attempt by the defendant to strike him, therefore, he retreated to his vehicle and grabbed a long chain to defend himself, and the defendant took off running,” according to court documents.
Walker was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
He was charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property over $1,000.
Walker has a trial date set for Jan.7, 2016 at the St. Mary’s County District Court. Walker faces a maximum jail sentence of 13 years in jail and/or a fine of $5,000.
