On February 15 at 10:55 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a hit and run motor vehicle crash near Smallwood Drive in Waldorf.
A lookout of the striking vehicle was broadcast and Officer K. Lerch observed the car near Demarr Road. As Officer Lerch approached the car, the driver jumped out and fled. Officer Lerch apprehended the suspect, Brandon Rashad Willis, 21 of Waldorf, who resisted arrest.
Willis was charged with the hit and run and resisting arrest.
The victim of the crash was not injured.
