Update 8:50 a.m. Volunteers responded to intersection of Three Notch and Pegg roads for a collision and found two vehicle with substantial damage. Once patient assessment was done, it was decided to fly one patient to a local trauma center for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
Scene is now cleared and the roadway has reopened

There has been a reported accident on Three Notch Road at Pegg Road. A reporter from TheBayNet is currently on the way to the scene. More information as it becomes available.
Advisory: The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office advises that southbound Route 235 at Gate 1 in Lexington Park is temporarily closed due to the motor vehicle accident.
