UPDATE: SMECO is currently on its way to repair the pole.

GREAT MILLS, Md. — We are receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident off of Flat Iron Road that has partially shut down the road.

At approximately 4:33 p.m. on May 28, crews were dispatched to the scene of Flat Iron Road in the area of Ryan Lane. Upon arrival, first responders found one vehicle that had struck a utility pole off the road.

Three occupants all signed refusal of care. The road is currently down to one lane.

Use caution in the area, and expect delays.
