Do you own or operate a farm? Are you aware of the Maryland cost-share and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) financial assistance programs for installing conservation practices? This seminar, sponsored by the Calvert County Agriculture Commission and the Calvert Soil Conservation District, will provide you up-to-date information about state and federal conservation programs, and help you understand the cost-share practices that apply to your farm.
The seminar will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Planning Commission Hearing Room, first floor, 205 Main Street, Prince Frederick, Md.
Speakers include Mark Rose, Assistant State Conservationist for Programs, USDA-NRCS, and Louise Lawrence, Chief, Office of Resource Conservation, Maryland Department of Agriculture.
