Nicholaus Wiberg is a journalist, storyteller and climate communicator covering government, infrastructure, transportation, public life, faith, and environment in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. His reporting combines a community-first approach with multimedia storytelling, and a strong sense of place—bringing clarity, context, and community voice to every story.
Nicholaus holds a degree in Journalism, Advertising, and Media Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he also studied internet culture, environmental sciences and climate communication. His work has earned awards in photojournalism, audio storytelling and investigative reporting, with stories spanning from Milwaukee and Chicago to the Island of Puerto Rico.
In addition to his work as a reporter, Nicholaus has a degree in Digital Media Design with years of experience in website development, digital media production, and digital-first publication. He is experienced in public relations across industries such as equipment manufacturing, deep-tech innovation and start-ups.
