
Betty Jane Windsor of Brandywine, MD, passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2026, surrounded by her husband Richard and family. Betty was born on January 16, 1947, to the late Charles J. Thomas and Grace M. Thomas of Baden, MD. Betty is survived by: her husband Richard P. Windsor; son Clifton G. Naylor; daughter-in-law Lisa Naylor; brothers Charles E. Thomas (Peggy) and Richard V. Thomas; sisters Deborah M. Pegg and Malinda K. Baden; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Charles and Grace Thomas, Betty is preceded in death by her late husband Chilton Maxine Naylor Sr., son Chilton Maxine Naylor Jr., sister Nancy Lee Lusby, and great-niece Jenna R. Sutphin. Tragically, Betty’s daughter-in-law Lisa Naylor passed away the next day on June 23, 2026. Betty was a member of Baden Firehouse, Lions Club of Brandywine, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 227. Betty retired from Prince George’s County Public Schools, where she was a cafeteria manager. She loved all the children.
There will be a celebration of life on August 29, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Auxiliary Post 227.
