Dep. John Harms responded to the Calvert County Historical Society at 70 Church Street in Prince Frederick on April 20 for a theft report.
The complainant advised that on Friday, April 7, she had discovered the back door of the establishment pried open but she did not notice anything missing at that time.
However, on April 20 she went downstairs to file and discovered the filing cabinet, worth $50, was missing.
Unknown suspects stole the 16th Street sign from the pole at the intersection of 16th Street and Old Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach sometime during the overnight hours on April 22.
Dfc. Jeffrey Elliott spoke with the complainant who discovered the sign missing. The officer observed that the 18th Street sign also had been pulled up from the ground by the pole and was lying against the guardrail at 18th Street.
The theft and damage are estimated at $70.
At 6:19 p.m. April 22, Dfc. David Denton reported to the 7-11 Convenience store located at 2849 Chesapeake Beach Road in Dunkirk for the report of a theft.
The complainant advised that an unknown white male had just come into the store and stolen the donation jar containing money.
At 2:25 p.m. April 14, Tpr. T. Long initiated an investigation into the theft of money from a resident of the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Investigation continues by TFC J. Fleetwood.
At 2:40 a.m. April 22, TPR Chirichella was flagged down on Rt. 2 in Solomon’s by a viictim of theft.
Investigation revealed that Mark Donato Austin, 21, of Brandywine, and Tyler Lee Wickline, 24, of Waldorf, had stolen some meat from a grill and damaged the grill in the process.
Both were charged with theft and destruction of property. After processing, they were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
Between April 10 and April 14, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a residence on Hallowing Point Road., Prince Frederick, and removed an undisclosed amount of coins. TPR Mounts, CIT, is handling the investigation.
Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 17, an unknown culprit entered a residence on 3rd St., Chesapeake Beach, and removed an Xbox 360 and two games. TPR Tillett is handling the investigation.
Three victims on Woodview Lane in Prince Frederick reported to Dep. T. Tilley that their vehicles had been broken into and over $800 worth of property had been removed.
The thefts occurred between 7 p.m. April 12 and 7 a.m. April 13 at 7:00 a.m. None of the vehicles were locked.
Dfc. Richard Figueiras responded to a theft complaint on Stevens Lane in Dunkirk on April 13. The victim stated that sometime between 10:30 p.m. the night before and 5:30 that morning, someone had broken the window out of her car and stolen her purse.
A Nokia cell phone was stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a private residence sometime between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on April 1.
The victim, who lives on Chesapeake Avenue in Chesapeake Beach, stated that her vehicle was locked but that the window was down.
