On Nov. 20 at 9:03 a.m., a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Katie Ann Windsor, 29 of Prince Frederick, was traveling northbound on Adelina Road in Prince Frederick when her vehicle crossed the double yellow center lines and struck another car head on.
The second car, a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, was being driven by Gaye S. Thomas, 56 also of Prince Frederick. The Ford then continued across the front yard of a home on Adelina Road, damaging the yard and a flower planter, coming to rest next to the front porch. The Volkswagen spun 180 degrees and came to rest partially in the road.
Both drivers were transported by the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
