At approximately 2 pm on Jan. 28, road patrol officers from the Maryland State Police, Prince Frederick Barrack, and the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wooded field along Main Street, Prince Frederick, in Calvert after learning of a recovered body.
While playing in the woods two children found the remains of a white woman approximately 45 years old. The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The cause of death is unknown; foul play is not suspected at this time.
