St. Mary’s County

St. Mary’s County Government has approved liberal leave for county employees beginning at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. Essential county employees are expected to report to work or to complete their shift As scheduled.

St. Mary’s County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 25, 2013, with a Code 2 for employees. Code 2 means that 10 and 11 month employees do not report to work. 12 month employees report to work up to 2 hours late but no later than 9:20 a.m. Liberal leave is in effect. All 12 month employees normally beginning their day after 9:20 a.m. are to report to work on time. Designated emergency personnel will report to work on time.

 

 

St. Mary’s County Government offices and facilities will be open as normal for today.

There will be no non Public School transportation today. STS transit will operate under its normal weekday schedule.

All St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks activities conducted in the public schools are cancelled for today and this evening. The Great Mills Swimming Pool, gymnastics center and recreation centers will operate at their normal schedules.

The St. Mary’s County Department of Aging and Human Services has canceled all home delivered meals for today. All Senior Activity Centers will be open and meals will be provided at the centers.

 

 

 

Charles County

Charles County Commissioners have approved liberal leave for today, Friday, Jan. 25, starting at 1 p.m. for county employees. Personnel performing essential services are expected to report to work and/or continue their normal shift as scheduled.

 

Charles County public schools will dismiss two-hours early today, Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. All afternoon and evening activities are canceled for today.

 

Calvert County

Schools will be closing two hours early today, and all after-school and evening activities are cancelled. Afternoon Prekindergarten will be cancelled. Students in the morning Prekindergarten will not be taken home at the usual time. They will remain at school, be provided lunch, and go home with the students in Grades K – 5.
