Solomons, MD – Last week the U.S. Coast Guard dispatched a crew to the Patuxent River-Chesapeake Bay confluence for the purpose of removing an abandoned vessel local and state authorities claimed was polluting the waterways and causing a hazard to boating navigation. The boat had been in the water for several months and was the subject of numerous citizen complaints and an investigation by the Maryland Natural Resources Police.
