Just after 1:00 a.m. on June 28, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the parking lot of a grocery store on Heritage Green Parkway in La Plata for the report of an impaired driver.
Officers located the driver, Christy Lynn Spellacy, 25 of La Plata. She failed several field sobriety tests. Officers charged her with driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated.
