Timothy D. Busby

Lexington Park, MD— On Aug. 17, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bush responded to Greatย Mills Road in Lexington Park in regards to a domestic assault in progress.ย 

When Bush arrived on the scene contact was made with the victim, who advised that the two were driving to an appointment and he (defendant) began to, “get irate, threw a energyย drink and began to choke her with his right hand around her throat,” according to charging documents.ย 

The defendant was identified asย Timothy D. Busby, 24 of Lexington Park. The victim advised they returned to the above-mentioned address and Busby continuedย to assault her by grabbing the victim’s arm.ย 

The victim advised she was screaming for help and a neighborย came out and broke up the disturbance and separatedย them.ย 

Bush observed a bruise approximately a half-dollar size on the victim who advised that was the area where Busby allegedly grabbed her arm.ย 

Busby was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, where he was charged with second-degree assault.

Busby at this time does not have a scheduled court date. Busby faces a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and/or a maximum fine of $2,500.
