LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Have a hidden talent? Love the spotlight? Now’s your chance to show off your skills and shine in front of your neighbors, friends and a live audience at the 2025 Leonardtown’s Got Talent!
This communitywide talent show is calling on singers, dancers, musicians, magicians, comedians and performers of all kinds to audition for a shot at local fame — and an unforgettable opportunity.
Audition submissions are due by July 10, and selected performers will be notified by July 18.
What’s the Big Prize?
The winner will open the Labor Day weekend concert at Leonardtown Wharf on Aug. 30, 2025 — a massive celebration that ends with fireworks and thousands of fans. You’ll take the stage before one of the town’s biggest audiences of the year!
How to Enter:
- Submit a 30–90 second audition video by Wednesday, July 10
- Must be 13 or older and a St. Mary’s County resident
- Only one entry per act is allowed
- Final performances must be under five minutes
- Selected performers will be notified by July 18
- All performances must be family-friendly (no profanity, suggestive content or adult themes)
Mark Your Calendar:
- July 10 – Deadline to submit audition videos
- Aug. 8 – Mandatory tech rehearsal
- Aug. 9 – Live show at The Rex Theatre in Leonardtown
- Aug. 30 – Winner performs at Leonardtown Wharf Labor Day concert
Judging Criteria
Performers will be judged on:
- Talent and technical skill
- Creativity and originality
- Stage presence and personality
- Video clarity and quality (no need for fancy editing — just be seen and heard to be previewed easily)
