WALDORF, Md. — A Fort Washington man is facing a felony theft charge after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle in Waldorf, according to court documents.
Darius Antonio Mills, 33, of Fort Washington, was arrested April 10, 2026, following an investigation into a stolen vehicle reported out of Prince George’s County.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Breconridge Drive, where they located Mills in connection with a white 2016 Lincoln MKZ that had been reported stolen earlier that day. Authorities confirmed through the National Crime Information Center that the vehicle had been taken from a location in Fort Washington.
According to charging documents, Mills told officers he had obtained the vehicle from a woman but was unable to provide identifying information. Investigators later determined the vehicle had been left running outside a business before it was taken.
The vehicle was valued at approximately $8,000, according to police.
Mills was taken into custody and transported to the Charles County Detention Center.
He has been charged with theft between $1,500 and $25,000 and is currently being held without bond following a bail review hearing before Judge Patrick J. Devine.
A trial scheduling hearing is set for May 29, 2026, in Charles County District Court.
