On Oct. 23, at 12:09 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 4900 block of Prestancia Place in Waldorf for the report of a strong-armed robbery.
Investigation revealed the victim, 39 of Waldorf, and the suspect, Raymond Leon Harris, 40 of Waldorf, were involved in an argument when the suspect grabbed the victim’s purse from her hand and fled in her car. The victim called police and provided officers a description of her vehicle. Officers spotted the car at a nearby convenience store and arrested the suspect – an acquaintance of the victim.
Harris was charged with robbery, theft over $500 and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
