As a result of the State and Local Revenue and Financing Act of 2012 passed during the recent State special budget session, the cost of a death certificate will increase from $20 to $32 for the first certified copy of a death certificate purchased in a single transaction at the St. Mary’s County Health Department beginning July 1, 2012. The fee for additional copies of the same death certificate purchased during the same transaction will remain at $20 per copy.
