SEVERN, Md. – On May 6, 2024, at approximately 12:55 a.m., an Anne Arundel County Patrol Officer observed a speeding vehicle on Annapolis Road near Reece Road in Severn and attempted to stop it. The vehicle fled, and the officer ceased pursuit. Shortly after, a 911 call reported a crash on Jessup Road.
Investigators determined the vehicle, a Lexus IS 350, was traveling at a high speed on Jessup Road when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a vacant house.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Trayquan Edward Mckesson of Odenton, along with four passengers, was rushed to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. Another passenger was transported to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
One of the passengers, Julie Michelle Nushawg, 26, of Pasadena, later died at the trauma center. The remaining passengers are in serious condition.
Now, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Nushawg’s family with unexpected funeral costs.
“We’re all shocked, devastated in disbelief, and saddened by the recent news of Julie’s sudden and tragic passing. She was a young amazing mother of a nine-year-old daughter named De’ Layah whom we’re holding close to our hearts, and is not taking the passing of her mother very well,” said Angelic Powell on the GoFundMe page.
“Due to the circumstances of her passing comes unexpected funeral expenses. We’d like to give Julie the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. I’m asking for donations to help cover expenses. Prayers for her daughter, family, and close friends are appreciated as well. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to do both.”
So far, with the support from the community, the fundraiser has already garnered just over $2,000.

We should start a go fund me page to raise money to teach young people to stay at home and raise their children instead of being out with thugs running from the police
