Jimmy S. Manwiller, affectionately known as “Tiko,” passed away peacefully and entered the arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 73, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on September 26, 1952, Jimmy was the son of the late Howard Y. Manwiller, Sr. and Emma Anna Schartner Manwiller. He grew up in Oxon Hill, Maryland, where he graduated from Oxon Hill High School. Throughout his life, he lived in Oxon Hill, Waldorf, Maryland, before proudly calling St. Mary’s County home for the past 20 years.
Jimmy dedicated 31 years of service to the federal government, retiring as a Printing Services Specialist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humor, Jimmy never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He found the greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time with family and friends, bass fishing, crabbing, and listening to and sharing music. Whether telling stories, laughing with loved ones, or enjoying a favorite song, Jimmy created lasting memories that those who knew him will always treasure.
Above all, Jimmy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest accomplishment was the love he shared with his family, and his legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering love will live on through them.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sarah “Pinky” Manwiller; his son, Jason Manwiller and his wife, Chancey, of Woodbridge, Virginia; his cherished grandsons, Gavin and Logan Manwiller; his brother, Howard Manwiller and his wife, Jan, of Burke, Virginia; along with beloved in-laws, extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Manwiller.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your love and compassion have meant more than words can express.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service starting at 2:00 PM. Following the conclusion of the service a reception will be held until 4:30 PM. All services will be held at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650.

Though he will be deeply missed, Jimmy’s love, laughter, music, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
