On Friday, May 25th, Bay Community Support Services (BAYCSS) held an Open House to celebrate the opening of a new Residential Group Home in California, Maryland. We had a wonderful turn-out. Thanks to all the folks who made the event possible! A special thank you goes to Stephanie Clear, Program Coordinator, whose hard work and creativity made for an incredible event!!! And many thanks to all the other staff who helped make the event possible! And, of course, many thanks to those who live in the house and invited us all to visit! It was well-attended and thanks to everyone who came to share in our excitement!
It’s a great house. Everyone was amazed by the house and how perfect it is for the folks who are living there. Even though the house is over 50 years old, everything was updated to make it totally accessible while leaving the beautiful charm intact. Everything is on one floor and all of the renovations make it perfect for wheelchairs to maneuver. There’s a wonderful, open kitchen so everyone can share in the cooking. It just feels like a home. Everyone has helped decorate and all the different styles and contributions have made it just right. There’s a great back yard that’s perfect for barbeque with beautiful huge shade trees and flowers. Just the kind of perfect place any of us could proudly call home.
We look forward to the Open House event being the first of many happy memories shared in the new home. Thanks to all!
