Born on November 13, 1916 in Bryantown, MD, he was the son of the late John Locke and Helen Cross Wolfe. He retired as a Lieutenant with Zooligal Park Police. Prior he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. During his time he received Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart Medal, American Defense Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Ribbon, and World War II Victory Ribbon American Theater. Some of his enjoyments were hunting, outdoors, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Helen Willett Wolfe, ?Helen?, also of Suitland, MD, and a son, William Lee Wolfe, ?Bill? of Temple Hills, MD. A sister, Elizabeth Ann Moulthrop, predeceases him.
Family received friends on Thursday, July 15, 2004 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in The Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral service was held on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 11AM at Old Field Episcopal Church, Hughesville, MD. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
Serving, as pallbearers will be: Turner A. Edelen, Sr., ?Skippy?, Turner A. Edelen, Jr., ?Skip?, Darrin Edelen, Charles E. Bowling, ?Eddie?, and James Sampsell. Chris Bowling will be serving as honorary pallbearer.
