Charlay Yates, of Hollywood, Md., received the Sigma Alpha Iota Scholastic College Honor Award at Susquehanna University’s annual student awards luncheon in May.
Sigma Alpha Iota is a music fraternity for women, and this award recognizes the contributions of one of its graduating members.
Yates is a recent graduate who majored in music. She is a 2009 graduate of Leonardtown High School and the daughter of Charlene Yates.
