On May 30, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Deputy First Class Dodson responded to a residence on Washington Street in Leonardtown, for a report of an assault.
Investigation revealed the victim was engaged in a verbal dispute with Matthew Thomas Green, 21 of Leonardtown, which escalated into a physical assault when Green pointed a knife at and threatened to stab the victim. The victim told Dfc. Dodson he feared for his life because Green was in very close proximity when Green pointed the knife and made the threat.
Green was arrested and charged with first and second-degree assault.
