Fire and EMS units from LexingtonPark, Valley Lee and Leonardtown were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus early Friday morning, March 15, at 8:10 a.m., with one ejected.

The initial dispatch put the accident scene in the area of Point Lookout and Chingville Roads. However, police units reported the accident was actually in the Redgate area.

The EMS personnel started CPR on the driver of the Hyundai Elantra and continued CPR while transporting the patient to St. Mary’s Hospital at 8:45 a.m. He succumbed to his injuries. None of the seven or eight children on the bus were injured and the bus driver was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with a hip injury.
