Carey Duwan Dickerson, dob: 04-28-1975, of Abell, Maryland, was sentenced on 2-10-17 to 10 years in the Division of Corrections for solicitation of a minor for prostitution. State’s Attorney Richard Fritz credits the arrest and conviction of Dickerson to Sheriff Cameron and his Narcotics Division. In addition, Dickerson was convicted of Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute.

St. Maryโ€™s County detectives identified Carey Duwan Dickerson aka โ€œFatsโ€ (Age 41 of Abell, MD) as a distributor of heroin and cocaine. A search and seizure warrant was executed on his home and detectives recovered heroin, cocaine, a digital scale, cell phones and more than $500 in cash. As that investigation came to completion, detectives were alerted to an incident which took place at the home of a 16 year old in Abell. The investigation revealed the suspect lives near the victim and approached her home when adults were not present. He inquired about the presence of others in the home before he offered money for sexual favors, specifically oral sex.ย  The suspect was observed leaving the area of the victimโ€™s home by witnesses. Vice/Narcotics detectives continued the investigation. After a review with Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard D. Fritz, the case was presented to the Grand Jury. An indictment was issued and Suspect Dickerson was arrested at his home without incident.
