On July 31, 2012 members of Maryland D.A.R.E. Officers Association (MDOA) and D.A.R.E. Youth Advisory Board Member Nicole Lusk, cooked up a homemade meal for the children and families at the Ronald McDonald House charities on West Lexington St., in Baltimore, MD. Approximately 30-40 people ate MDOAโ€™s prepared meal of: Herb Roasted Chicken Breast, Roasted Parmesan Broccoli, Red Roasted Potatoes, and topping the meal off with Upside Down Cherry Cake. D.A.R.E. YAB Nicole Lusk filled the Ronald McDonald House with a beautiful piano music. Then a talent kept hidden by Calvert County Deputy DFC. Andre Mitchell, as we again heard the piano come alive, an ear pleasing treat for all. After dinner, Office Stephens, DFC. Mitchell, Captain Willey and Staff Sargent Howell, shot some hoops in the courtyard with several of the Ronald McDonald House children. Cpl. Delozier, her husband John, Cpl. Smith, Cpl. Foote, and Officer Brown, with assistance from Nicole Lusk and Lauren Washington cooked, baked, served, and cleaned, still finding time to interact with the families. Cpl. Delozier commented, โ€œWe as people have the ability to give our time and our kindness over and over again, costing us nothing. So, when you have the opportunity, do it!โ€
