Investigators from the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region on July 24th were contacted by the Metropolitan Police Department and were requested to assist with an ongoing investigation. ย A search and seizure warrant was executed on Norman Jim Goedeckeโ€™s (46) Mechanicsville residence.ย  Five regulated firearms were located and seized from the residence.ย  During the investigation, it was learned that Mr. Goedecke was disqualified from being in possession of regulated firearms.ย 

On October 2, 2014 investigators from Criminal Enforcement Division and the St. Maryโ€™s County States Attorneyโ€™s Office presented this investigation to the St. Maryโ€™s County Grand Jury.ย  A five County Indictment was handed down from the Grand Jury, charging Mr. Goedecke with being in possession of a regulated firearm.

On October 6, 2014, members from the Maryland State Police Warrant Apprehension Team (MSAT) located and arrested Norman Goedecke at his residence in Mechanicville, St. Maryโ€™s County, MD without incident.ย  Mr. Goedecke was transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
