On July 11, Deputies McCoy and Safford responded to Valley Court in Lexington Park to investigate a report of possible controlled dangerous substance violations involving five male suspects.ย
Upon arrival, four of the suspects fled into the wood line.ย An inspection of the area revealed numerous โbluntโ cigars commonly used to smoke marijuana.ย
Deputy McCoy made contact with William Ambrose Fenwick, 18 of Lexington Park.ย Deputy McCoy asked Fenwick if he could conduct a pat down of his person for weapons.ย Mr. Fenwick consented to the pat down.ย During the pat down Deputy McCoy felt a bulge consistent with the size and packaging of controlled dangerous substance in Mr. Fenwickโs pocket.ย Deputy McCoy recovered a small bag containing suspected marijuana. Fenwick was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.ย ย
