On July 11, Deputies McCoy and Safford responded to Valley Court in Lexington Park to investigate a report of possible controlled dangerous substance violations involving five male suspects.ย 

Upon arrival, four of the suspects fled into the wood line.ย  An inspection of the area revealed numerous โ€œbluntโ€ cigars commonly used to smoke marijuana.ย 

Deputy McCoy made contact with William Ambrose Fenwick, 18 of Lexington Park.ย  Deputy McCoy asked Fenwick if he could conduct a pat down of his person for weapons.ย  Mr. Fenwick consented to the pat down.ย  During the pat down Deputy McCoy felt a bulge consistent with the size and packaging of controlled dangerous substance in Mr. Fenwickโ€™s pocket.ย  Deputy McCoy recovered a small bag containing suspected marijuana. Fenwick was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.ย ย
