NORTH BEACH, Md. — If you’ve been meaning to get your car washed, you can get it done this Saturday, July 11, while supporting a good cause.
Northern High School’s (NHS) cheer team is holding a car wash fundraiser at the North Beach Fire Department. The team will be there Saturday, July 11, from 8 a.m. to noon to raise money for their team.
“Bring your family, friends, and your dirty cars — we’ll take care of the rest! Every wash helps support NHS Cheer with the equipment, experiences, and opportunities that make our season possible,” the team wrote on its Facebook page.
NHS Cheer has hosted several other fundraisers so far this year, including a popcorn fundraiser. Their new season officially starts in the fall and the team recently held tryouts and began summer practice sessions. NHS Cheer also hosts a summer cheer camp called the Jr. Patriots.
There is no set listed price for car washes, and the service will be donation-based. All donations go toward supporting the team. Cheerleading is one of 11 fall sports offered at NHS, which is located in Owings. Those sports are cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, flag football, football, golf, poms, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, and Unified Sports.
You can learn more about Northern High sports online and follow NHS Cheer on Facebook.
