New assistant principal announced

LEONARDTOWN, MD –Superintendent of Schools, Mr. J. Scott Smith, announces the administrative appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting of August 26, 2015.

Ms. Sarah Weisner has been appointed Assistant Principal I (11 month) at Margaret Brent Middle School.  She most recently served as an Instructional Resource Teacher at Margaret Brent Middle School.  Since joining St. Mary’s County Public Schools in 2007, she also taught English at Leonardtown Middle School and Great Mills High School.  Ms. Weisner earned her Master’s degree from Towson University and her Bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University.

This appointment will become effective Monday, August 31, 2015.
