Update from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office:
Deputies responded to Mechanicsville Road near Carpenter Drive and located a single vehicle crash. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned several times. The driver, identified as Paul Miller III, age 45, was flown to Suburban Hospital for treatment with non life-threatening injuries.
Redgate, MD – At approximately 4:03 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 911 communications received a phone call for the report of a motorcycle accident at Medleys Neck Road and Whirlwind Road.
Units from Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, personnel found one vehicle involved, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, on its side in the ditch.
At this time, the reasons are unknown as to why the motorcyclist went off the roadway.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital.
Medley’s Neck Road has re-opened with no delays.
