On Monday, November 25, 2019, at approximately 4:20 PM police, fire, & rescue personnel responded to the area of Point Lookout Rd. and Potato Hill Farm Ln. for the report of a single vehicle in McIntosh Run Creek after striking a tree with one patient trapped.

Vehicle was in the water approximately 100 yards in on Potato Hill Farm Ln. with the occupant still inside when crews arrived.

Firefighters used various stabilization techniques and manpower to assist the occupant out of the vehicle. Firefighters from Hollywood VFD arrived on location and assisted Leonardtown VFD with removing the single occupant.

The occupant was transferred to care of EMS and transported to the hospital.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is currently handling the investigation.
