Waldorf, Maryland โ The Community Foundation of Charles County is announcing an additional component to its annual Potomac Wildlife Art and Decoy Show called BREAKFAST WITH THE CARVERS to be held on Saturday, May 14, 9 โ 9:45 a.m. at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata campus (same place the Show will be held).ย ย

If you are interested in decoys, both old and new, you will hear from three of todayโs most acclaimed carversโ Ray Whetzel, Bruce Eppard and William Bruce โ to discuss how the tools and traditions of Chesapeake Bay decoy carvers of the past 100 years find their way into their modern creations. The session will be moderated by Chad Tragakis, a regular contributor to Decoy Magazine and president of the Potomac Decoy Collectorโs Association. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE! The Potomac Wildlife Art and Decoy Show starts Friday, May 13 with its annual Cattails and Cocktails dinner reception.ย Folks will get to enjoy an evening with the artists, purchase wildlife art, decoys, wood carvings and more, enjoy an open bar and dinner by Outback Steakhouse, live music and bring in your decoys from home for free appraisals.ย Cost for the dinner is $50 per person and must be purchased in advance.ย
