LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Organizers of RenFest Southern Maryland have officially announced the dates for the 2026 Renaissance-themed celebration, marking the third year of the growing event. The festival will return to Brüdergarten on Memorial Day weekend, May 23–24, 2026.
“It’s official! Mark your calendars for May 23 & 24, 2026 for RenFest Southern Maryland! We’re gonna party like ’tis 1499. We’re gonna be, gonna be Olden!” organizers shared in a post on the event’s official Facebook page. “Stay tuned for ticket information, as well as vendor & entertainment applications. We’ve already got people banging down ye olde door!”

Launched in 2024, the event has quickly become a signature attraction in Southern Maryland, combining historical reenactment, whimsical fantasy, and hands-on experiences for all ages.
The 2025 festival, held May 24–25, drew enthusiastic crowds to its immersive village setting. Attendees enjoyed swordplay exhibitions, family-friendly games, sand crafts, and roving performers, including spirited fairies and pirates. The event featured three live entertainment stages and welcomed both local artisans and seasoned reenactors.
Among the highlights were live metalsmithing demonstrations, pony rides, and historical education from the Barony of Dun Carraig, a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Vendors offered everything from handcrafted florals and fantasy-themed artwork to medieval-inspired face painting and tarot readings.
Organizers have not yet released ticket details or vendor applications for 2026 but encouraged attendees and participants to follow RenFest Southern Maryland online for future updates.
