MICHAELS, Md. – After a remarkable 25-year journey of captivating visitors and locals alike, the iconic Sail Selina II will set sail for her final season of tours in St. Michaels, Maryland, in 2025. Captained by Iris Robertson, granddaughter of the original owners, this historic 1926 Crosby Catboat has become a cherished part of St. Michaels’ maritime culture.
“We’re incredibly grateful to have had the privilege of sharing the magic of the Chesapeake Bay with so many people over the years,” said Captain Iris Robertson. “From family outings to romantic sunset sails, each journey has been a testament to the enduring charm of this incredible region. While it’s bittersweet to announce that this will be our final season, we look forward to creating unforgettable memories during this special farewell season.”
Sail Selina II has become a local legend, featured in numerous media projects, including photo shoots for JCPenney and J. Crew, as well as television appearances on PBS’s Get Out of Town and Eastern Shore House Hunters. Known for her gleaming mahogany, polished brass and timeless design, she has symbolized the Chesapeake’s rich maritime legacy.
To commemorate this milestone, a series of special events, tours, and celebrations have been planned throughout the 2025 season. Guests can expect exciting farewell voyages, themed cruises, and opportunities to learn about the history of Sail Selina II, her role in the community, and her place in Chesapeake Bay’s sailing legacy.

The final season of Sail Selina II will officially kick off in April 2025, with bookings open now. A limited number of special anniversary cruises will also be available, including private charters and sunset sails.
Captain Iris is especially excited to host a step back in time to the Roaring Twenties on May 3, 2025 for an unforgettable event marking the captain’s 25 years of stewarding the historic 1926 cat boat in St. Michaels Harbor. That glamorous evening on Sail Selina II will include dancing, dining, and toasting a quarter of a century of her history on the Chesapeake Bay.
