School Resource Officer Spotlight: Deputy First Class Ryan Spalding

Meet Middle Creek Middle SRO DFC Spalding

LUSBY, Md. – DFC Ryan Spading has been a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office for six+ years. He is currently serving as a School Resource Officer at Mill Creek Middle School and Dowell Elementary.

This school year, he celebrates his third year as an SRO. DFC Spading loves to help and give back to the community he grew up in. His favorite part about being a school resource officer is building positive relationships with the youth in our community and bridging the gap between community and law enforcement.

Spalding’s life goal is to visit all 50 states. In DFC Spalding’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

We asked Deputy Spalding, ‘What is one thing you want everyone to know about you?’ and he replied, “I LOVE my job!”
