Sometime overnight between Dec.19 and 20, Scoops on the Bay, located at 106 Harbor Road in Chesapeake Beach, was the scene of a burglary.
DFC Elliott of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to the store after a motorist called and reported the front door glass had been broken.
The officer found that a culprit broke in the front door glass to gain access to the store, and then ransacked the place. Nothing was taken and the damage to the front door is estimated at $400.00.
