WALDORF, Md. — Two suspects were taken into custody following a reported shooting in a Waldorf shopping center parking lot Saturday afternoon, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred April 11, 2026, at the Smallwood Village Center. Patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting and discovered that two males had been involved in an argument in the parking lot.
Preliminary findings indicate both individuals produced firearms during the dispute, and one or two shots were fired. No injuries were reported.
The suspects fled the scene but were quickly located and apprehended by responding officers.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
