Leonardtown, Md. โ€“ Across the nation Skilled Nursing Care Week was observed the week of May 13 โ€“ 19. Not-for-profit facilities and services for the aging in St. Maryโ€™s County provide skilled and compassionate care and services for older Americans. The Commissioners of St. Maryโ€™s County honored this specialized care and service which renders life more meaningful, dignified and joyful for the elderly.

โ€œSt. Maryโ€™s County recognizes the quality, service, and dedication of those who provide care for the elderly through such facilities and services,โ€ said Commissioner Todd Morgan (4th District). โ€œThe St. Maryโ€™s Nursing Center, a not-for-profit organization that serves the elderly in St. Maryโ€™s County, recognized the theme, โ€œCelebrating Lifeโ€™s Storiesโ€ during National Skilled Nursing Care Week.โ€
