Great Mills has yet to post their stats from Friday night’s loss but based on Lackey’s stats we know how the Hornets performed defensively.

The Great Mills’ defense gave up 350 rushing yards and 128 passing. Though the Hornets were able to intercept one pass, Lackey was able to pass for two touchdowns and rush for an additional 5.

Great Mills seeks their first win, traveling to unbeaten Northern on Friday at 7 p.m.

(1-2) McDonough -20 @ (0-3) Leonardtown -14 [final OT]

Leonardtown was unable to overcome Charles County foe, McDonough, losing in heartbreaking fashion. The Raiders hoped to achieve their first win of the season but fell in overtime after the Rams punched the ball into the end zone.

Neither team has posted stats from Friday night’s game.

Leonardtown travels to unbeaten Huntingtown Friday at 7 p.m. The Eagles defeated the Hurricanes last year 21-13.

(2-1) Thomas Stone -33 @ (1-2) Chopticon -27 (OT)

Last week Chopticon was able to overcome La Plata in overtime, earning their first win of the season. The Braves played in overtime again this week, this time against Thomas Stone. After trailing by seven in the fourth quarter, Chopticon senior running back Micah Briscoe ran the ball into the end zone with one minute and 57 seconds left in the game. After starting with the ball, Chopticon was unable to score. Stone punched the ball into the end zone on a run, giving them the win.

Chopticon passed for 213 yards with junior Dominic Crampton completing five of 14 passes for 87 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, combining with senior Jeremiah Williams who finished four of 12 for 126 yards and one touchdown. The Braves were also able to rush for 137 yards and two touchdowns, with junior Tyson Gregory and senior Micah Briscoe leading the charge.

Defensively, the Braves gave up 301 rushing yards but limited the Cougars offense to only 75 yards passing. Senior Vincent Goedecke had the team’s only interception and recovered a fumble caused by fellow senior Johnathan Edelen.

Chopticon travels this week to face a talented North Point team who is undefeated. Kickoff is Friday at 6 p.m.
