
CLEMENTS, Md. — The St. Mary’s County National Lawn Mower Races will return to Bowles Farms this summer for a milestone weekend celebrating 20 years of racing and 20 years of giving back to the community.
The 20th annual event is scheduled for Friday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at Bowles Farms, located at 22880 Budds Creek Road in Clements, near the intersection of Route 234 and Pin Cushion Road.
The two-day event will feature lawn mower racing, family activities, food and refreshments, and community fundraising. Organizers are billing the anniversary event as “20 years of racing” and “20 years of giving back.”
Friday’s schedule begins with gates opening at 4 p.m. Trial runs are set for 5 p.m., with racing scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, gates open at 3 p.m. Trial runs are scheduled for 4 p.m., followed by racing at 6 p.m.
Admission is $10 per person, with children 8 and under admitted free. The event is family-friendly, and children 8 and under are also listed as free for the event.
Food and refreshments will be available on site. The event will be held rain or shine, and coolers are not permitted.
The event is brought to the community by the 7th District Rescue Squad and the 7th District Optimist Club.
